Tierfive is a PBX Hosting Provider eligible for the STIR SHAKEN extension granted to small voice service providers with fewer than 100,000 voice subscriber lines.
Tierfive has implemented the following Robocall Mitigation Plan to detect and prevent unlawful robocalls from originating on its network as of June 30, 2021.
All calls that originate on Tierfive’s network are subject to the described robocall mitigation program.
Tierfive blocks calls originating from numbers that are not valid North American Numbering Plan (NANP) numbers, known numbers not allocated to a provider and numbers not assigned to a Tierfive subscriber or otherwise set aside for outbound call use.
Calls are processed by an upstream carrier that performs automated analysis of call patterns to detect and block suspected Robocall activity, based on their behavior and/or their status as suspected robocalls as reported to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and as reported by other carriers. Tierfive has access to the vendor’s portal and receives notifications about any telephone numbers originating suspected illegal robocalls on its network.
Tierfive is committed to cooperating with the Commission, law enforcement, and the industry traceback consortium in investigating and stopping any illegal entities that we learn are using our service to originate calls.
Tierfive has procedures in place to prevent new & renewing customers from using our network to originate illegal robocalls. Tierfive thoroughly performs Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures for additional security on each account before activating new service or making changes to existing services.
If it is determined a Tierfive customer is originating prohibited unlawful robocalls on our network, Tierfive will first warn the customer to stop and then terminate their service if they do not comply.
Tierfive posts information on its website to educate customers on how to protect themselves from becoming a victim of unlawful Robocallers which can be found here. Tierfive encourages customers to report suspected Robocall activity through its ticketing system here
